Postfix configuration

I just installed postfix on my dialup Debian (woody) system. For now, I
am only concerned with local delivery of mail since my mail client talks
to my ISP's POP server and SMTP server directly.

I keep getting the following messages in my logs (and hear noises from
my HD) just as I connect via PPP:

May 31 19:14:33 phoenix pppd[9912]: local IP address 216.249.1.218

I had commented the two lines in /etc/postfix/master.cf that started
with smtp hoping to fix this problem but it still persists. I need
suggestions on how setup Postfix for local delivery of email only (no
outgoing mail, etc.).

In a couple of days, I intend to read through Postfix docs and set it up
so that it can handle outgoing mail using my ISP's SMTP server, but
until then I need to fix the problem that is causing these messages in
my log files.

Thanks.
