...though I do have the problem that the first time I start X, the
middle button (wheel) doesn't work until I launch XF86Setup as root and
twiddle with the mouse driver setting a bit.  Seems I need to first set
it to "GlidePoint", then "ThinkingManPS/2" (IIRC), then finally
"MouseManPlusPS/2".  It's sufficient to run through the sequence in
XF86Setup and hit "Apply" a couple of times, I don't have to save the
config.  Only required on a fresh boot, and only recently (since
Jan/2000?).
