Many people on comp.lang.c will vehemently disagree with you. In fact,
they even coined a term "schildtism", I think, to describe the numerous
inaccuracies in his works. I don't know from experience -- I took these
experts' word on the matter. They seem to be fans of the
Kernighan/Ritchie book and Harbinson (?) and Steele -- Check the
comp.lang.c FAQ for more info.
