Adding to /etc/chatscript/<provider>:

OK ATM0

below the line:

'' ATZ

may do it. That's a zero, not the letter 'O'. I'm not sure if that's
the right command (you'll find out pretty quick) cause I have mine set
to ATL0 (low volume during dial and handshake).
