provided the 2 machines are suing the same encryption scheme for the
passwords, what i did when i migrated from slackware to debian was just
copy/paste the passwords and tarred up /var/spool/mail and moved it
over..had to adjust permissions but it was better then resetting all
passwors and nuking all the mail.
