netscape 4.7.1 segfaults but not in xterm or rxvt

greetings,

i  finally upgraded to kernel 2.2 with gnome/enlightenment and i'm
having a strange problem with netscape 4.7.1. when i try to invoke it
from the enlightenment menu or gnome terminal or eterm it crashes with
segmentation fault but if i invoke it from xterm or rxvt if comes up
just fine. does anyone know why is this? tia,
