It works fine for me. You have to include SCSI support in the kernel
(even if it's ATAPI parpot ZIP). The following is what I have in 2.2.14:

CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI=y
CONFIG_SCSI=y
CONFIG_SCSI_IMM=m
CONFIG_SCSI_IZIP_EPP16=y
