You pose two questions:
1) Where do Lynx downloads get saved by default?
I believe it will attempt to save to the directory from which you started lynx.
2) What about email?
If you have Netscape installed, the easiest is probably to use it as either a POP or
IMAP client, just like you would in MS-Windows.
If not, install fetchmail and give the command "fetchmail -k postalzone.com"; if
everything works, this should copy (not move) the messages from your postalzone.com
mail server to your local machine (the -k means keep a copy on the server). Then you
can read the messages with mutt or pine or mail or tkrat or etc etc etc.
