If you properly edit your /etc/lilo.conf file, Debian will offer the boot
prompt just as RedHat does. man lilo.conf, check the mailing list
archives, and read /usr/doc/lilo/Manual.txt.gz for much more information.

i don't know if there's a difference in the use of lilo between booting
from a floppy and booting from the HD.
