I was wondering if anyone got around to getting the gimp to work under the above mentioned x server. I shouldn't see any problem because images can be displayed even though they are at 24 bpp color they get reduced automatically in various applications (eeyes, xv, etc). The last time I tried this folly the stupid thing said that it "couldn't get a usable color depth" is there a way to force the issue? To make it bend to my will?
