ftp errors last few days ??

Hi,

Anyone have any idea, what the following means. Errors have started
coming up in various ftp clients since 4-5 days ago ?.
ie mirror, gftp, get problems with mirror too, which suddenly doesnt
seem to be able to mirror anymore either times out or skips files ???.
:(.

"Warning: Cannot parse listing /bin/ls: can't open cache
'/etc/ld.so.cache'"

i had a look and ld.so.cache is there , even recreated it??

in mirror specifically :
......
get file bin/ls:/Packages.gz as bin/ls:/Packages.gz (758453)

----< chomp>----

Need to get file bin/ls:/Packages.gz as bin/ls:/Packages.gz (x)
---> PORT 206,18,103,204,8,99
200 PORT command successful.
---> RETR bin/ls:/Packages.gz
550 bin/ls:/Packages.gz: No such file or directory.
Failure on 'RETR bin/ls:/Packages.gz' command
Failed to get bin/ls:/Packages.gz: 550 bin/ls:/Packages.gz: No such file
or directory.
Failed to get file 550 bin/ls:/Packages.gz: No such file or directory.

It seems to get some file names mixed up with "bin/ls:" in front huh ?

Running potato, 2.2.13.
