I just loved "The Not So Short Introduction To Latex2e - Or Latex2e In
87 Minutes" from Tobias Oetiker et al. If you've installed the Debian
teTeX packages including tetex-doc you'll find it on your system as
"/usr/doc/texmf/latex/general/lshort.dvi.gz". You can view it without
unpacking first with "see /usr/doc/texmf/latex/general/lshort.dvi.gz"
[see(1) is just a symlink to run-mailcap(1)]. The most current
version is always available from Tobias Oetikers website:
