My first suggestion would be to use different IP address: 192.168.0.1 for
Linux and 192.168.0.2 for the Windows system.  There are quite a few
others (millions - literally) that will work; here are a small number of
the possibilities:

 Linux		Windows
 -----		-------
 10.0.0.1	10.0.0.2
 172.16.0.1	172.16.0.2
 172.17.0.1	172.17.0.2
 192.168.1.1	192.168.1.2
