wvdialconf does a pretty good job of detecting which serial port your
modem is on if you don't already know. But before this can happen, you may
have to use isapnp to set up the hardware and/or setserial to tell the
kernel where to look for it.

i don't see one that exactly matches the subject line. If it's a "Model
2380/2390/2560 SupraExpress 56i Pro" then it's a PCI WinModem and you
won't be able to use it. Check the knowledge base and the model number to
be sure.

At worst, you could open up your computer, find the modem's FCC ID number,
and look that up specifically in the knowledge base. (if it's PnP, you may
also be able to change jumpers to make it non-PnP :)
