sysklogd & /dev/log
For some reason sysklogd is acting up on me. Klog starts up fine, but
syslog complains about /dev/log: Invalid Argument. Why?? I've looked
for
hours, but couldn't find why. /dev/log is named pipe that is supposed
to
be created by syslog. I've tried removing & purging & reinstall
sysklogd,
but no go. I am using potato, updated daily to the latest. syslog does
start, but it does not log anything. X will start, but will not start
up WindowMaker.
Has anybody ever had this problem before? Why is this happening? I
don't remember anything related to syslogd being upgrade lately, or
begin broken.
Thanks,
