dselect in potato-system

I don't know if it's my fault or if it's a bug:

I try to update my potato-sysetm by calling dselect. This is what I
get as the output:

Get:1 http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/main Packages [644kb]
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/main Release
Get:2 http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/contrib Packages [26.3kb]

Get:3 http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/non-free Packages [78.5kb]
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/non-free Release
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/non-US Packages
Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org potato/non-US Release

And here the load increases by one and nothing more happens.

I don't know where this come from and what I can do to overcome this
problem.

`dselect --version' shows:

and `apt-get --version' this
apt 0.3.6 for i386 compiled on May 12 1999 09:31:21

Can anyone help me?
