GTK Engine Themes

Hi Folks,

I've got GNOME up and running on my slink system, and I'm having a bit
of a play around with GTK themes, but I can't get any of the 'engine'
themes (such as GTKStep) to work.

Unlike most of the GTK themes, these you have to actually extract
manually, compile and install. I eventually worked that out :). Then to
make the GTK-theme-selector see them, I linked the theme directories
>from where they installed in /usr/local/share/themes to ~/.themes, so
now they show up in the theme-selector.

When I try them out, however, all they do is change the colour of the
theme, and not any of the widgets (GTKStep, for eg., is supposed to put
a little indented circle in the scroll bar). So I presume that they are
using the gtkrc for the theme, but are not loading in any of the
library.

Anyone got these themes to work? Any suggestions?

Cheers,

damon
