That probably is it.
Also, before i patch i always backup my old .config and 'make mrproper' to
get things in a mildly sane state. i also keep a backup of the tree i'm
patching from, and the two before that one, just in case. i'm paranoid.

Download the kernel source, or download the patch deb or the new source
deb.
