UltraDMA disks and debian
Hi,
I just bought a IDE UDMA Harddrive (/dev/hda). I installed Slink on a
second non-UDMA drive (/dev/hdb).
When I boot on this drive (/dev/hdb1) with my kernel, I get fsck messages
and this kind of error messages:
ide0 irq timeout: status=0xd2 { Busy }
hda: DMA disabled
ide0: reset: success
hda: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
ide0: reset: success
... and sometimes VFS kernel panic ... etc
So, I wonder if there are any problem with UltraDMA drive and linux
kernels.
Does anyone have an answer to this ?
Thanx.
Jerome.
