Please don't. ISP instructions for Linux usually assume Slackware or Red
Hat and often are obsolete and/or wrong. Just use them as reference
material.

Run pppconfig and then use 'pon' to start ppp and 'poff' to stop it. Use
'plog' to monitor progress. If pppconfig doesn't do the job post to
debian-user for help or email me personally.
