Re: KDE and .Xdefaults
Did you make sure that in /etc/X11/config you have the line:
allow-user-resources
With regard to your .xinitrc, if you are running kdm then your .xinitrc will not be
run. It is only run if you use startx or xinit to start X. If you want things to be
run when the kde is starting up, you need to put kde link files in
~/Desktop/Autostart. Copy a template from your Templates folder and modify its
properties to get what you want.
