upghrading from hamm to slink is a snap:

1.as root open an internet connection

2.open dselect, from the first menu choose apt and choose the stable
version (probably already selected)

3. quit dselect

4.run "apt-get dist-upgrade"

5.go take a nap or do it overnight.
