Hello, Thanks for the advice on magicfilter. I really tried to use it but I gave up. I went and downloaded the APSFilter package instead from the web and used it to set up my HP laserjet 1100 printer. I finally got it working. I wished that debian had included this package, or at least incoporated the driver filter from it. It seems that this package had more filters for more printers. Shawn
