I use the following script to create a file that will make a booklet of a5
size by printing two pages landscape on a4 paper.  

psbook $1 | psnup -pa4 -l -nup 2 > /tmp/psboekie.ps

This wil print 8 pages on for like this

1 8
2 7
3 6
4 5

It will not work for 350 pages. You can have a look at psnup, psselect and
psbook.
