sb: Interrupt test on IRQ7 failed - device disabled

Hello all,

    trying to set up my soundcard on a "Leo DESIGNote 60" notebook drives
    crazy:

    M$-NT reports a

         Opl3sa driver at ioports 0x300-0x301, 0x388-0x38b, 0x530-0x537,
             IRQ 07

    Configuring the kernel with OPL2/OPL3 FM synthesizer support does not
    recognize it. The manual reads the card is a sb compatible one. Compiling
    Sound Blaster support seems to detect the card but unable to set it to
    irq 7 (irq 7 is free, not used in /proc/interrupts).

    Adding some additional printk's in the sound driver the initialization
    reports as follows:
