Installing slink

When I installed hamm to my laptop, I used my zip drive to do most of the
work. I ran the install.bat file from my Win95 partition in DOS mode, and
continued with the installation. When it got to the point that it was ready
to install the kernel, it allowed me to install from /dev/sda4 - my zip drive.

However, this isn't working with slink. The drive works fine; that's not the
problem. I did a dmesg from another console when the installation was
running, the only thing I could find wrong was that when it tried to init scsi
- it didn't find any drives.

I tried to mount the drive, but it wouldn't mount - either Linux didn't
recognize the block device, or it wouldn't recognize the file system (msdos or
vfat), I'm sure that's because they weren't installed yet.

Does this feature not work with slink?

Am I stuck resorting to installing from floppies now?
