kernel-package difficulties
hello-
i've been trying to build a custom kernel package using
the kernel-package debian package and am having some difficulties.
i was able to build one custom kernel package successfully (normally),
but since the first image, i keep getting kernel package files w/ names
like:
kernel-image-..-custom.1.2_i386.deb
i may have '-' in place of '_' in a few places -- the point is
that, where there should be a kernel version number, i get two dots.
that is, i expect something like:
kernel-image-2.0.33-custom.1.2_i386.deb
but i don't get the kernel version numbers.
i've done 'make mrproper' and tried reconfiguring from scratch a
number of times, but kept getting the same results. i've also
tried after booting up w/ an older kernel version, but still
had no luck.
does anyone have any words of wisdom for this situation?
