What kind of ZIP? Parallel, SCSI or ATAPI/EIDE?

You mean, how to use the ZIP under Linux?

for a parallel port ZIP look at http://www.torque.net/parport for the
parport driver patch. It uses EPP or ECP on the parallel port and is a
factor of 5 faster than with the standard port.

For SCSI and ATAPI ZIP just install a recent kernel, kernel-image-2.0.33
should do it. In the SCSI case of course yor SCSI adapter needs to be
supported by your kernel too.
