Load Sharing

Does anyone out there know if there is a Linux software package that will
allow a box to act as a load sharing router? In a fashion similar to f5 Labs
big/IP or Cisco's LocalDirector. I have looked at both of these products and
neither has any real fancy equipment in them, and at least one of them runs
on BSD.
