To debug your printing system touch files /var/log/lp-acct, /var/log/lp-errs
and /var/log/lpr.log
Files (as in af= and lf=) /var/log/lp-acct and /var/log/lp-errs should have
owner lp:adm and permissions 0640.
Check permissions for spool directory.
Do all above on both: client and server sides.
