Quake2

Hi,


I have troubles with quake2. I donwload the file:
quake2-3.19a-glibc-i386-unknown-linux2.0.tar.gz
After copy the fils quake2.conf to /etc and all the rest to
/usr/games/quake2 as root i execute quake2 and it said:

        couldn't exec default.cfg
        couldn't exec config.cfg
        Console initialized.

        LoadLibrary("ref_softx.so") failed: ELF```/ref_softx.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
        Refresh failed
        recursive shutdown
        Error: Couldn't fall back to software refresh!
        [root@computron] /usr/games/quake2 -->


What shoud i do to play this game ??


I have try makeing this outside X. quake said it cannot load ref_soft.so
.
