For the most part I agree - the tulip based cards are excellent.  Being
a Bayhead I prefer the Netgear cards, but I believe Kingston and others
make tulip based cards also.

One caveat - machines with weird PCI bridges don't like the tulip cards
at all.  Prime examples are the IBM 350 and 750 PCs.  I would guess that
most home users don't have such machines since they are "business
desktops", but I've had the displeasure of dealing with them myself.
