When I try to read the ISO image from a CD, either with cat or dd, the reading speed (I read with a SCSI 4x/2x Philips CDD2600 cd-writer) seems to be around 70Kb per second (half 1x !). If I mount the CD I can read at full 4x, no problem: what could it be? Do I need some utility to set cd reading speed or such? Ciao! Enrico
