That might be the problem with mine. I had just assumed that the
battery was worn out.

Hmm. Like I said mine worked without a hitch.

For APM stuff you might look at this page:

http://peipa.essex.ac.uk/tp-linux/

They have a patch there for the 750 and APM. It might apply to the 755 
as well?
