Debian 2.0 has broken CVS for me, help!

Hello all,

I am trying to get cvs to help me download the Gnome source tree via
the anonymous cvs service they offer. I was doing this under 1.3 and
it worked fine, but now, after I have upgraded to 2.0 I get a Seg
Fault when executing 'cvs login.'

Example:

whitehouse$ export CVSROOT=':pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome'
whitehouse$ cvs login
(Logging in to anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org)
CVS password: **reurn here for no password**
Segmentation fault

Here is the stack trace from gdb:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

(gdb) bt
#0 0x4008d0bc in strcmp ()
#1 0x8067479 in _start ()
#2 0x806a02d in _start ()
(gdb)

Any ideas out there?

Thanks in advace for any help

ben
