RE: Suppressing trailer page on remote printer

You must have a jetdirect...

Telnet into it and do
"banner: 0"
(without the quotes)

You can do / and it will tell you the current settings, ? gets help.

Subject: Suppressing trailer page on remote printer

I have my printing working over an ethernet connection to
the HP LaserJet 5 here at the office, but I've never figured out
how to suppress the trailer page, which looks something like this:

User: paul
Host: slackguy.partnersoft.com
Class: slackguy.partnersoft.com
Job: stdin

from the a2ps I just ran.

Here's my printcap:

lp|Remote HPLJ5:\
         :lp=:/dev/null\
         :rm=printerone.partnersoft.com:\
         :rp=raw:\
         :sd=/var/spool/lpd/remote:\
         :mx#0:\
         :sh=true:

Suggestions? TIA.
