you need to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable to point to the current
directory where you have RealPlayer set up. 

On my machine, Real Player is at

	$HOME/bin/rvplayer5.0/

so my .bash_profile has

	LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:${HOME}/bin/rvplayer5.0
	export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

this is mentioned in the install documents for rvplayer, I think.
