Put a DOS-formatted floppy in the A: drive of the Linux machine


Mount the disk as a filesystem:
as root:           mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt

copy the file:     cp ppp.log /mnt

unmount the disk:  umount /mnt

When the disk light goes out, remove the disk.
