Actually, *I* was referring to IDE, although perhaps the original
poster was not. I have been using > 528mb drives with Linux for a few
years now and have always had Linux installed towards the end,
and never encountered any geometry problems with LILO.
Before my current disks, I had Linux installed in the last 600mb of
a 1.6gb drive, well beyond the 528mb limit.
