Re: modem response problem

I notice now, after a review of hard copy of "The Linux Serial HOWTO" that
USR Sportster is listed under the heading (2.5) Unsupported Serial
Hardware. That seems to be my problem, is there a preferred
internal/external modem for use with linux?
