Weird file names
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
There was a thread a while back about deleting weird files. Just for
people interest I had to remove some strange ones today. They were as
follows:
- ---------- 1 username users 0 May 2 1970 ??
- ---------- 1 username users 0 May 2 1970 ??????
- ---------- 1 username users 0 May 2 1970 ??????????
Don't know how they made them, but trying rm '??' or rm \?\? or others
didn't work. I eventually did rm -rfi *, and said no to everything else.
However the strange files came up as follows:
rm: remove `ÿø'? y
rm: remove `ÿøÿÿÿø'? y
rm: remove `ÿøÿÿÿøÿÿÿø'? y
Weird huh? Anybody know why they look different in the directory listing?
Chris
