If you have much time, become Debian maintainer or even developer. If you
have little time, try to fix bugs. If you have no time, ... hey, how can you
use Linux :)

Yes, the probelm is that there are some showstopper bugs. However, not every
developer is capable of fixing them. The time and knowledge of every developer
is limited, and why is it wrong to upload packages to slink if one can't fix
one of the critical bugs?

Debian will not release a system with known critical bugs. I recommend
everyone who wants to use Debian 2.0 to take a look at the critical bug
list. If no bug applies to his environment (a lot of bugs are against
ftp.debian.org anyway), hamm should be quite stable for him/her.
