Well, it is probably slow because you are running the static version and
it is HUGE. Depending on how much RAM you have and what type of CPU you
could be thrashing swap or your system is simply slow.
It might run a little faster if you have Motif installed and run the
dynamicly linked version. Otherwise, I agree, StarOffice 4.0 is very slow.
Does your disk device become extremely active when you run StarOffice?
