Debian awareness..
Well, with all the bickering about Bruce's departure and comments on
marketing, I realized something. It would be really nice if there was a larger
debian user base. DUH! Right? Well, I'm still mr newbie with my own linux
stuff and took a chance on debian becasue of the boot magazine articel and CD.
The downfall? I know lots of unix/linux gurus (or sorts) and not one of them
has even touched debian. Thus, if I want debian specific help, I don't have
someone I can just call.
What would be goos ways to spread the word. Honestly, I don't know enough to
priase debian over any other distribution, and until I get my system working
how I need it, I can't even say I'm completely happy (but that's my problem,
not debian's ;).
When my server is up and running, I'll proudly be displaying the Debian info
(as well as apache) on my homepage, but that's not enough....
Sorry, just wondering.
peace,
Chris
