Re: smail problems with smarthost

Hi,

I found my problem after seeing a suggestion about a similar problem
on the list. I needed to set the visible_name to mindspring.com for
mindspring to accept the mail. This gives garbage headers, but the
mail goes through. I am lee.bradshaw@mindspring.com; someone else
is bradshaw@mindspring.com. The headers starting with "From " and
"Return-Path:" refer to another user. Here is what the headers on my
mail through the smarthost look like:

>From bradshaw@mindspring.com Mon Feb 23 17:21:46 1998
Return-Path: <bradshaw@mindspring.com>
Received: from pop.mindspring.com ([172.31.23.7]) by freefall.home.bradshaw
with esmtp (ident bradshaw using rfc1413) id m0y76Fl-000XQwC
        (Debian Smail-3.2 1996-Jul-4 #2); Mon, 23 Feb 1998 17:21:37 -0500 (EST)
