Recomendation here,

Install the bo base disks

Get the upgrade script from 
{ftp,http}://stormcrow.ml.org/pub/debian/autoup/
(the packages the script needs are there as well, but I've been told that
the link to the machine is slow.  If it's fast enough, fetch the tarball
that includes all the files the upgrade script needs.

Run said upgrade script :)

Point dpkg to your favorite hamm mirror and enjoy :)
