As suggested by another, check that the CPU fan is turning freely. I've seen
the cheap ones bind after operating for a year. Is the ventilation around the
machine adequate? I've seen computer systems installed without any
consideration of the ventilation (i.e. now that the hot air has been expelled
from the box, where is it to go?)
