well, the important parts of that patch appear to be standard part of 3.3.1:

#define HasPosixThreads		YES
#define ThreadedX		YES
#define HasThreadSafeAPI	YES
#define ThreadsLibraries	-lpthread
#define SystemMTDefines		-D_REENTRANT

in the config file... a quick glance shows the other bits seem to be
there too.  (The readme is for 3.2, so this probably did all get
folded in a while back...)
