Hmmm... not sure I buy that... but it's an interesting twist.

This I didn't know and makes all the differnce. If this is Debian's goal
then I agree, KDE is inappropriate.

The menu support worked fine when I installed the latest package... other
stuff was a little screwy but menu support works great :-)
