Re: startx can't find font 'fixed'!



Try issuing 'mkfontdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/*'
That works for the xfree86 servers.  It didn't work for the commercial Xi    
server which still says 'can't find font fixed' though.  I have no idea 
if that will be good enough for metro-X...
